From "The Iron Agitator", Ishpeming, April 29, 1882
A horrible accident occured on the D.M. & M. road near Sene y station last Tuesday night by which a young Frenchman nam ed Antonio Bodry was maimed for life, at least, but for a t ime it was thought he could not recover. It seems he wa s a brakeman on one of the ore trains and was sitting on on e of the brake wheels between two cars when the train gav e a sudden jerk and he fell between the cars, cutting one o f his arms off above the elbow, and badly bruising his hea d and limbs. The unfortunate man was immediately taken t o the city where his wife and four children and medical hel p summoned. It is thought by the physician that he is i n a fair state of recovery. This is the second accident t o employees of consequence on the road since it's opening.
